We’ve just finished the absolutely hardest weekend of this entire adventure, moving all the white-goods and large items that will only fit on a U-Haul utility trailer, into storage.
What we left behind can only be imagined … but, I took some pictures anyway.

The kitchen’s a disaster

The bedroom doesn’t exist any more
But no matter how much you pack and tidy …

After the party’s over there’s always one guest that ends up like this. Whoever said that dead gas-lifts for office chairs were easy to remove, LIED!

Even Winnie-the-Pooh is up to her eyeballs in boxes!
Just when we thought we were getting some clear spaces, Mrs Widds spotted these two beauties with a sign on them saying ‘Free’ …

A little careworn, and showing their age

Probably all the original interiors too

They’re heavy bastards but look at this beautiful metalwork
So, they’re in the storage unit as well, awaiting their time to be refurbished and have their moment in the sun.
The carpets have been shampooed, all the indoor plants have been sent to their future homes, and our trusty steed (the truck) is up-to-date with her shots. What’s left now it getting all the ‘stuff’, we want to take with us in our travel trailer to actually fit into our travel trailer.
I suspect further culling will be required.
I’ll probably get one more post up here before we leave, and then I will be at the mercies of cell-phone coverage, wi-fi, and other assorted means of getting an interwebz signal, to keep you updated.
We’re both exhausted beyond measure, but, relatively speaking, doing well.
It will be a relief to finally hit the road, I’ll bet!
Those trunks were a real find!

They are … and it had just started to rain (again!) when we picked them up. 😀

aren’t you glad your not rich ……as you’d have even more “stuff” to haul around!
It’ll be worth it and probably the last move you will ever do!

The amount of stuff we’ve managed to acquire over the years is truly breath-taking! 😀 … well, all that stuff has to come out of the storage locker at some point. 😀

and not to be morbid, but I have noticed a big dumpster out front of someones place who had passed.
So the good stuff gets taken and the rest goes to the dump.

Be glad it wasn’t MORE stuff – and have a heck of a time. Take pictures – write posts with them later.

Considering the numbers of boxes we’ve packed, I reckon the journey’s already about a squillion and forty-three miles long! And counting. 😀

I don’t blame you! You’d think at our age we’d know better! 😀

I can feel the excitement from here, or is it really a nervous frenzy? I have packed up and moved many times, so I know how it feels…

Frenzy probably 😀 … but the (literal) heavy lifting is now done. What’s left is to circle the many piles of stuff left in all sorts of odd places and box it up too.

In many ways, that is the worst part… I can’t believe it’s really happening… 💕🙏🏻

The charabanc is nearly ready to be unhitched or should that be unhinged? As is Winnie joining you?

Winnie? Always. 😀 … I think ‘unhinged’, might be the word of the moment! 😀

I used to have a steamer truck like that. It held so many childhood memories. I’m glad you’re keeping it.
