Still here.
Still too hot.
Still very thankful for our portable A/C.
Still … oh look at that. Final bloodtest results. Now I’m a diabetic.
Still think the universe isn’t out to get me.
Still looking for the right cover art for my book.
…
Thankfully it’s not the sort of diabeticals where I have to give myself injections. I’m not, erm, very comfortable with that concept.
Anyway … where would we be without Monty P …
Sorry about the blood results. This clip is a great scene. To have produced that without sacrilege was brilliant.

That’s the word to describe the entire movie – brilliant! 😀

Got to love Eric and Company, they always have the answer. You will weather this new glitch brilliantly.

As soon as I can manage it, it will be an ‘ex-glitch’! 😀

I don’t think the world would exist w/out Monty Python. I remember when I found out I too was a Type 2 diabetic. Totally went “OMG I’m doomed”. I’m still here… You’ll do fine, just follow the recommendations the best you can. And yes not having to self jab insulin is a blessing.

That’s what we need today, more Monty Python! 😀

I know several people who have reversed their diabetic condition. It’s not a death sentence. And honestly the universe is out to get everyone: we’re on a watery rock hurling around a blob of fiery death along with a billion other things. You’ll figure this one out. ❤ Good luck, and I hope you feel better soon!

Thanks, Dawn … at the moment I’m having serious conversations with my stomach, which doesn’t approve of the medication. I’ve never burped so much in my life! 🙂
I’m only a week into it, so I can’t tell if there’s been any improvement yet, so we shall see. 🙂
Yeah, I’m hoping that a reversal is possible too. 🙂

I create book covers as a hobby. If you’re still looking for a cover for your book, perhaps I could help? Contact me with the details.

I eat a strict low-carb diet; I’m hoping that will keep me from slipping over the divide.
Editing – well, you have to do it. Or you won’t be happy with the results. One has one’s standards. Good voyage on that.

No matter what I did, each test I slipped a little closer. I’m not overly surprised that 2020 tipped me over.
I believe that we’re allowed one typo, and I’ll be damned if there’s going to be more than one of the little buggers! 😀

Diabetic shmetic already! Who cares what religion you are? Be yourself, be happy. Just don’t join the arthritics or I’ll disown you.
Hoomans, we’re an incredibly unlikely confluence of a million idiotic processes – it’s amazing we stay stable enough for long enough to have the lifespan that we do. 😉
Just don’t ever walk towards the light, not even if the nice policeman drags you out of the car and tells you to.

Light, schmight! … it’s the dark path for me, all the way! 😀
Thanks for the good thoughts, my friend. 🙂

Oh the memories! Life of Brian has to be one of the most brilliant, mad movies ever. Diabetes though, not so great. Has the Doctor given you meds or is it possible to control with diet? -hug-s

Been doing the diet thing for a couple of years, but I finally got too close to that ‘line in the sand’. 😦 … I’ve been taking tablets, not injections thankfully, for a week now and so far the only differences I’ve noted is that I burp like Garfield and can sleep for 9 hours straight! 🙂

Sleep? Did the diabetes affect your sleep or do the meds make you more drowsy?

The meds. It might be just because I’m getting used to them … who knows at this stage. 🙂 … interesting times. 😀

Well, more sleep is a /good/ thing. Seems to become harder as we age, or at least as I age. 🙂

I seem to be contrarywise with that too. I sleep at the drop of a hat … cat-naps. 😀
