An ‘Interesting’ Week

I had …

… an, ‘oh gawd, I feel like I’m about to keel over’ reaction to my vaccine shot.

… a migraine cluster. (of the galaxy-busting variety – I rate them as planet, then solar system, then galaxy, then universe-busting)

… and at least more three layers of physically debilitating craptitude … that I won’t go into here because …

… I am done with this week!

The only saving grace was that my brain was still fully functioning-ish, and I managed a few hours of editing in every day. (my typo’s however are hilarious due to pain meds interfering with the connection between my brain – super slow, and my fingers – used to typing super fast)

Even with these delays, I still just might be able have the final product all tied up with a polka-dot bow by the end of June.

Which would be truly awesome – to have a novel go from first word to finished product in six months.

Who’d’a thunk it!!?

  1. Which one did you have? I heard that Moderna causes migraines. I had the Pfizer, it just made me flu-like. I did get a bad headache but no migraine.

This is the worst reaction I have heard about. Sorry it had to be you. But pat yourself on the back for your tenacity and working through it. And just keep reminding yourself you now have a major layer of protection.

Fingers crossed that I’m over it now. I’ve had a couple of days without the symptoms … still worth it though.
Now I have to work on my reluctance to get any closer to people (that I know and have ben vaccinated) than I have to. Which is tough because being an introvert by nature I kind like not being around people. 😀

  5. Oh, no! I’m lucky that all I’ve been having in unending fatigue.

    But congrats on the novel!

Yep, had that too, but I’m feeling much better now, apart from the migraine cluster hangover 🙂 … hope your fatigue eases soon.

Have you reported the side effects. They do need to be logged. Hope you’re feeling better soon.

Ugh, so sorry to hear you had such a bad reaction to the Pfizer. The Offspring just had the second jab 4 days ago and only experienced a bit of fatigue and general blahness. Anyway, it’s done and you’re safe. That’s the important thing. And grats on the editing too. 6 months for go-to-whoa is an amazing effort. Well done. -digital hugs-

  8. I had an ugly reaction to my second vaccination, but it passed after a couple of days. As someone wisely said… if you didn’t like getting vaccinated, you’d hate getting a ventilator shoved down your throat. I hope you’re already feeling better. And congrats on writing through the misery! End of June is right around the corner!
