Now That The W.H.O (World Health Organization) Has Stated The Obvious …

What has actually changed in our lives?

The virus has still been out in the world since at least early January. Panic-buying toilet paper is still a thing. People are still dying, sadly. Others are still recovering, an impressive 80-88% of them, and some are not even feeling ill.

World governments will probably/hopefully now institute the measures that needed to have been in place from the beginning.

This virus still remains something that we as a species have never been exposed to before, but as climatic regions continue to be in flux there will be a great many things we will encounter that will challenge us equally. The impact of those challenges will depend on how we choose to engage with them.

So, for this one, don’t breathe on more people than necessary and don’t let ’em breathe on you. Do the social distancing tango and wash your hands regularly. Check on your neighbours, from a distance, and make sure they’re doing OK. Nothing fancy, just a ‘Hi, how are you doing?’ will suffice.

Many thanks to Dr John CampbellΒ for his daily, factual, no-nonsense, updates.

Stay informed, and stay safe, my friends.

This is Dr Campbell’s latest video.

There’s a rather ominous-looking headline this morning that the Prime Minister is going to ‘escalate the virus response’ today… Greek and Roman gawds alone knows what that may mean. Perhaps something along the lines of Italy with all businesses except food and drugs shut?

Whoever it was coined the saying, we do indeed live in interesting times. Well, for the moment we live, anyway… πŸ˜‰

What a fabulous phrase … akin to ‘hopes and prayers.’
Funny how these ‘world ‘Leaders’ and the ‘rich and famous’ have a sniffle and they have immediate access to a test.

Social distancing works if you don’t have a family crisis. Unexpected news last night meant I spent the day with family members I haven’t sern in a while sitting by a dear relative’s hospital bedside as she entered her final days of Parkinson’s disease.. Hugging and cheek kisses were our way of connecting with each other. Sometimes love just has to be more important tban fear.

I enjoyed his very informative video but those number in the beginning confused me. The total number of infected is the same number as mildly infected.
    Currently infected = 42,600
    Mild = 42,600 (88%)

I must’ve missed that. What I like is that he does updates every day that are accessible to everyone, not tucked away in some impossible-to-fathom clunky website, or imossible-to-fathom techno-babble
When this is all over, or at least eased significantly, I’m going to go back through his playlist. After a quick perusal the other day, I found videos on really fascinating stuff. πŸ™‚

  7. There’s definitely a duh factor in response to the announcements coming from the WHO and the Trumpies. I went shopping today for my elderly parents, and there was NO toilet paper – not one role. I was shocked. I had to get them baby wipes. Honestly.
I feel like I’m in the first 5 minutes of a sci-fi movie.
