That Was Winter

Whirlwinds of ice crystals racing each other along the snow-covered road…

Long and snowy road

Long and snowy road

Shoveling the driveway clear and salting the footpath. Crisp whiteness, icicle cold air to breathe …

Wintertree - up to her knees in the white stuff

Wintertree – up to her knees in the white stuff

A halcyon time, seven days long …

Widderlake - frozen over

Widderlake – frozen over

… and now?

… it’s raining … again.

We got a big dump over the weekend. Since it’s been too cold to snow, which I’m not happy about but it’s preferable to the white stuff, which you make sound so nice but is just god awful.

In manchester, England where I live, we hardly even get snow, despite being at a latitude of 53.5 Degrees North

I think your snow-covered landscapes are wonderful
