A sad and sorry sight
… dropped a can of WD-40 and accidentally knocked the nozzle off while you were working on a winterizing project in the back yard and even though you looked everywhere for the little bugger you couldn’t find it so you carried on without it for the next couple of hours then went inside with your spouse for bracing cups of tea (Widds) and coffee (Mrs Widds) while you got your evening meal together and then as you were kicking back in your armchair sipping your beverage you looked down and saw the nozzle in the cuff of your track pants?
Nah, me neither … but Mrs Widds did!!!

The dastardly disappearing nozzle
Hey – at least you found it.
It’s cause for rejoicing.

There was much rejoicing 😀 … and laughing so hard ribs were in danger of cracking. 😀

Sneaky pants! And nozzle. Collusion, obviously.

First place I look next time this happens to me!

Agreed. I do wonder though, if that’s where all those single socks go after they run away from the washing machine. 🙂

That’s one of the biggest unsolved mysteries of all time!

Heh, heh, heh 😀 … I’m checking Mrs Widds cuffs next time one goes missing though, just in case. 🙂

Is she a member of the Magic Circle?

Heh, heh, heh … she hasn’t said anything, specifically … 😀

Oddly enough, no. That’s never happened to me. It could, though, easily enough, if I had cuffs on my trousers. (I’d say my pants but I do know how that’d be misunderstood.)

I just go with the flow these days as far as cross-border definitions and spelling goes. Sometimes my words have ‘u’s’ in them and sometimes they don’t. Sometimes is pants/undies, and trousers/pants, lay/lie down, license/licence … the list goes on, and on, and … 😀

Be cautious. Cuffs in your undies are pretty uncomfortable, I understand.
That’s not from first-hand experience, mind you, just rumo(u)r.

Thank goodness I’d put my cuppa tea down just before I read your comment! … close call though. 😀

LOL Can’t recall ever losing the nozzle. But that bloomin’ wee straw thing? Every. Single. Time.

You’d think they’d find a better way to attach the thing to the can than with a bloody piece of sticky-tape!

And I’m so glad you got photographic evidence as well!

Once I dropped a small circle of lucite from a physics phantom and it stuck to the underside of a door, it took me 20mins to find it. Crazy!

At any engineering project, there are two cans of WD40 for every worker. And not more than half of them have the little nozzle. Now I know where to look for the nozzles.

Cuff-checking might have to be handled … discretely though. 😀
