Bon Voyage Mary Tyler Moore

Many words will be written, but the thing I remember most is her comedic timing. She was brilliant.

I always think of her tossing her hat in the air in NYC. What an amazing role model.

  2. Oh, I haven’t watched the tube yet today. So sad. I watched the MTM as a kid. She was great and full of smiles.

  4. Mary Taylor Moore was an amazing person. I love that she created the “Mary” character for the world. Her show affirmed to me back then that I can be a single woman living in my own apartment and holding a dream job in a city far away from my hometown.

She was. We’ll never have another like her, and that’s okay by me. She’ll be missed, but she left us with a lot to remember her by!

Plus she spawned/mothered/grandmothered a whole bunch of woman-centered sit-coms … from Rhoda to the Golden Girls, to Hot in Cleveland.
