  1. Naysayers have been commenting that you can’t have a Bond Girl if you have a female Bond. To which all the lesbians replied: Oh. Yes. You. Can.

Now I’m off to watch Octopussy for the one-thousandth time. Oh James, indeed.

  2. Sweet Jesus wearing Birkenstocks! Is that Gillian Anderson? I would be her Bond girl any day.

  3. I’ll probably never watch it just bc I’m lazy about movies, but I absolutely love this idea.

  4. Really! At first I thought my eyes were playing with me and I was just thinking I read “Jane Bond”. I wonder if Emma Thompson will play a part in the movie. I could see her as Jane Bond, too.

πŸ˜€ … no, it’s not a thing, but Gillian said recently, perhaps only half-joking, that she’d love to play Bond, and her not inconsiderable fan base has run with the concept, hence the poster. Who knows, if there’s enough of a groundswell, we might one day have a Jane Bond! πŸ™‚

She looks pretty good in the role. I don’t mind the idea of a Jane Bond on principle, but I’d rather hoped that when Daniel Craig stepped down the producers might consider me for the part of 007. 😦
