Yesterday at sunset a tiny thread of hope peeped out from the west.

Cue all the rainbow themed songs ever written
Widder Island-ites ran out into the streets and smiled. OK, it was just me, but there’s something truly magical about rainbows that hold up the sky for a few minutes then disappear back to wherever magical rainbows come from.

Holding up my part of the sky – even if it is soggy
Now that is a rainbow! Look at those bands of color. It’s not one of those vague smudgy ones where you can’t tell if there’s really something in the sky or it’s just that your glasses need cleaned. 🙂

It is sad how much I love rainy days- they’re an excuse for me to be lazy indoors guilt-free. And look- you get pretty rainbows!
