Vancouver Box Collector Loses Perfect Record

I have fallen from grace. The other day Mrs Widdershins and I, went out and bought, yes, bought, moving boxes. The fact that they were made from 100% recycled material (that’s what it says on the box and we all know that signage and advertising never lie – only slightly cynical) and, that we only bought five, doesn’t alter this sad occasion.

With only two days to go before the golden moment when we see the moving truck pull up to our front door, it’s time to take a temporary leave of absence from the interwebz. After today I won’t have a desk to put my trusty desktop computer, or anything else, on top of!

I’ll still check in a bit via laptop. But, this is it folks. Next time you hear from me I’ll be, Widdershins of the Lake!

One day I want a room like this:

  1. Widdershins of the Lake, I like the sound of that. Hope it’s a relatively easy and fun move for you and the Missus.

Okay, that would be a pretty cool room, as long as it was big instead of me having to shrink to fit in it.

Good luck with the move. I hope all goes as well as possible.

How exciting to be Widdershins of the Lake. Wish you the best in getting moved and settled in!

  5. Widdershins of the Lake sounds somewhat Guinevere!

The advantages to having bought boxes, of course, is that you know that they are strong enough to hold what’s in them… that they don’t smell slightly of their previous contents… that they have crisp corners and aligned edges… they stack neatly and look tidy…you can re-use them and feel virtuous…

Some things, like clothing, deserve new boxes. They are personal enough to deserve some TLC.

Happy moving. I hope it goes well and I look forward to the first posts from your island abode!
